- NaNoWriMo Kick-Off! Library. 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, encourages everyone to tackle the challenge of writing a 50,000 word novel in one month.
- Wine Wednesdays - October. Rios-Lovell Winery, 6500 Tesla Road. 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Pirates of Emerson Haunted Theme Park. Alameda County Fairgrounds. 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- A Frightening Good Time at Hacienda Crossings! Dublin. 4 p.m. Trick-or-treating, scavenger hunt, carriage rides, free giveaways.
- Halloween Trick-or-Treating Event at Vasco Plaza! Livermore. Merchants of Vasco Plaza will hand out candy and prizes 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. to trick-or-treaters.
