Ollie's Hosts Fundraiser for 2-Year-Old with Brain Cancer

Delaney Newton, 2, was diagnosed with brain cancer in September and has since undergone chemotherapy.

On Friday, Nov. 1 Ollie's Saloon in downtown Livermore is hosting a fundraising event to benefit 2-year-old Delaney Newton.

Keep Calm and Chive On, a Livermore organization is raising funds for Team Delaney Friday night. For every drink purchased, $1 will be donated to Team Delaney.

Delaney Newton, 2 years old, was admitted to the hospital on Sept. 9 and doctors told her parents, Janice and Merlin Newton that she had a brain cancer the next day.

On Sept. 12, Delaney underwent 12-hours of surgery to remove the tumor, which doctors confirmed was cancerous and on Monday, Oct. 7 the young girl began chemotherapy.

Since sharing with the Livermore community, residents, organizations, businesses and schools have rallied for the Newton family.
