BART to Livermore Included in County's Spending Plan

Alameda County Transportation Commission approve spending plan, including $400 million toward a Livermore BART extension.

A plan to get BART into Livermore gained traction Thursday after the Alameda County Transportation Commission approved a spending plan that would include $400 million toward an Interstate 580/Isabel Avenue BART extension, according to reports.

The Bay Area News Group reports the $7.8 billion plan for transit and road projects is expected to be funded by a countywide higher sales tax measure. The measure is expected to go before voters in November.
