Livermore Teacher Pleads No Contest to Having Sex With Student

Marie Johnson, a former Granada High teacher, is scheduled to be sentenced May 15 at the Hayward Hall of Justice. Johnson entered her no-contest plea on Tuesday at the Hayward Hall of Justice. She was arrested in January 2012 on charges for sexual assault of a 14-year-old boy. Read the full story here.

Did You Hear the Boom Sounds in the Tri-Valley?

Residents in Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore, possibly more on edge after the Boston Marathon attack on Monday, were startled by sounds of explosions on Wednesday. The explosions were part of training being conducted at the Alameda County Sheriff's bomb range in Dublin.
