Row of Eucalyptus Trees Burned in Roadside Fire

The fire burned about a half an acre, fire officials said.

Firefighters in Livermore made short work of a roadside fire reported on El Charro Road near W. Jack London Boulevard yesterday morning.

Livermore Pleasanton Fire Battalion Chief Paul Legasa said the fire, which was reported around 11:15 a.m., had spread into a field, burning about 10 eucalyptus trees along the side of the road.

"The fire in the field was contained to a half an acre," Legasa said.
