Retired Livermore Officer Named Piedmont's Interim Captain

Scott Trudeau, who served 27 years at the Livermore Police Department, has been named interim captain at the Piedmont Police Department.

The City of Piedmont has tapped a retired Livermore officer to serve as interim police captain until a new police chief is found, according to a report.

Scott Trudeau — who served 27 years at the before retiring as captain in 2011 — will serve up to six months in his new role at Piedmont.

His services were needed when Piedmont's police chief, John M. Hunt, retired on June 30, according to the report. The department's current captain is serving as interim police chief.
