A classroom was vandalized and a computer screen stolen Friday at , according to the .

The vandal, or vandals, apparently disabled the classroom alarm, smeared chocolate on a projection screen leaving the candy-bar wrapper, wrote "inappropriate words" on a whiteboard in black ink and swiped the computer screen, said Sgt. Brian Martinez.

The incident was discovered in the afternoon and police were notified. An investigation is pending.

In other news, a squabble over a belt led to a man reportedly being jumped and robbed of his wallet and phone at a downtown house party.

In the early hours of May 6, two partygoers were chatting outside, when one said to the other, "I like your belt. Give me your belt," according to Martinez.

The belt-wearer refused. He told police that the other man returned sometime later with friends and carrying a pipe-type weapon, Martinez said.

The suspect reportedly struck the victim's head and jaw, and took his wallet and iPhone, he said.

As for the belt that started the ruckus?

Martinez added: "They did not take the belt."
