Police Log: Hotheads On The Homefront

Notable incidents encountered March 4 to 10.

The last week fielded several calls for domestic violence and battery — including one involving a firearm and another involving a child.

Saturday, March 10

  • Male motorist, 46, was arrested at 4:24 a.m. for suspected driving under the influence and no license at I-580 and Vasco Road.
  • Domestic violence reported at 4:25 p.m. along 2400 Sixth Street.
  • Assault logged at 6:15 p.m. on the 2700 block of Las Positas Road.
  • Battery reported at 2:30 p.m. on the 5300 block of Norma Way.
  • Suspected DUI and driving on a suspended license arrest made of a male, 49, at 9 a.m. on Tesla and Reuss roads.
  • Other DUI arrests made: at 12 a.m. on Park Street at North Livermore Avenue; at 5:51 p.m. along 1600 Fourth Street; and at 5:58 p.m. on East Avenue at Loyola Way.
  • Burglary reported at 3:40 p.m. along 4400 First Street.

Friday, March 9 

  • DUI arrests made: at 1:57 a.m. along 300 South Livermore Avenue; at Audry Street and Jeannie Way at 9:20 p.m.; and at 10 p.m. along 1100 Murrieta Boulevard. The Audry Street arrestee, a male, 28, was also charged with no license.
  • Domestic violence reported at 8:25 p.m. on the 1300 block of Hudson Way, and a separate incident at 8:42 p.m. along 100 Western Avenue where a male suspect, 28, was arrested.
  • Controlled-substance possession reported at 2 p.m. on Locust and North P streets.
  • Suspected public-intoxication arrest made of a male, 22, at 10:50 p.m. along 100 North Livermore Avenue.
  • Stolen vehicle reported on the 1100 block of Spring Valley Common.

  • Stolen vehicle reported at 4:41 a.m. on 2400 Las Positas Road.
  • Residential burglary logged at 11 a.m. along 5700 Arlene Way.
  • Auto burglary reported at 10:20 a.m. on 2800 Kitty Hawk Road.
  • Shoplifting arrest made at 6 p.m. on 2700 Las Positas Road.
  • Assault reported at 2:14 p.m. on North Livermore at Chestnut Street.

Wednesday, March 7

  • An 18-year-old male was arrested at noon on 400 Wall Street for police obstruction.
  • Hit and run with property damage reported at 6 p.m. on 1800 Fourth Street.
  • Public-intoxication arrest made at 11 p.m. along 1600 Railroad Avenue.
  • Battery logged on the 1100 block of Geneva Street at 8:15 p.m.
  • Controlled-substance possession reported at 11 a.m. on Elm and James streets.
  • Drug-paraphernalia possession arrest made at 12:51 p.m. along 1000 Murrieta Boulevard. 

Tuesday, March 6

  • Identity theft reported at 9 a.m. along 1800 Pine Street.
  • Residential burglary reported at 1 a.m. on the 5600 block of Bridgeport Circle. 

Monday, March 5

  • A 42-year-old male was arrested at 10:15 p.m. along 200 North I Street for alleged domestic violence, exhibiting a firearm, drug paraphernalia.
  • Stolen vehicle recovered at 7:41 a.m. on 2800 Independence Drive.
  • Graffiti damage cited at 6 p.m. on 3700 East Avenue.
  • A male, 22, was arrested at 8 a.m. on the 1500 block of Springtown Boulevard for suspected felony domestic violence.
  • Robbery at 11:54 p.m. on 700 East Stanley Boulevard.
  • Assault logged at 9:32 p.m. on 800 Holmes Street.
  • A man, 53, was arrested at 8 p.m. on 1300 Railroad Avenue for allegedly being under the influence of controlled substances.
  • Male, 34, was arrested at 2 p.m. for suspected felony domestic violence, injury to child and criminal threats on the 1000 block of Murrieta Boulevard.

Sunday, March 4

  • Commercial burglary reported at 11:30 a.m. along 6700 Preston Avenue.
  • Two men, both 22, from Pleasanton and Castro Valley, were arrested at 1:31 a.m. for public intoxication on the 2200 block of First Street.
  • Additional drunk-and-disorderlies included: male, 29, 7 p.m. on Olivina Avenue; male, 20, 11:15 p.m. on First at I-580; and male, 34, 11:38 p.m. on North I Street at Railroad Avenue. The suspects are all Livermore residents. 
  • DUI arrests included: a woman, 52, 2 a.m. on South P and First streets; male, 50, with suspended license from prior DUI, 3:16 a.m. along 3500 First; and a man, 37, 2:19 p.m. on I-580 at El Charro.
  • Theft cited at noon along 600 Rincon Avenue.
  • A 19-year-old male was arrested at 9:42 p.m. on the 2100 block of Ponderosa Drive for criminal threats.
