Jack-Knifed Big Rig Leaks Diesel on Interstate 580

No injuries reported in three-vehicle accident Saturday.

Emergency crews on Saturday responded to a multiple-vehicle accident that led to a big rig spilling diesel on westbound Interstate 580 at North Livermore Avenue, officials said.

No injuries were reported in the accident.

At 7:15 p.m. there was a three-vehicle accident on I-580 at North Livermore Ave. One of the vehicles was a big rig and had "jack knifed." There were no injuries of anyone in the vehicles. The big rig truck's diesel tank was punctured in the accident and Engine 98 assisted with containing the fuel until CalTrans arrived to clean up the spill.
