Police Giving Tree Underway
Annual program will help bring holiday gifts to needy children in Livermore.
and the Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association are inviting the public to participate in the department's annual Giving Tree.
The program collects and delivers gifts to needy children in Livermore.
Participants can visit the department lobby beginning Monday to select a tag from the giving tree and return with a new unwrapped gift (with tag attached).

The program runs until Dec. 9. Lobby hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The alumni association holds a one-night gift-wrapping party. Then the wrapped presents are delivered to recipients' homes by police officers and volunteers.
