Firefighters Extinguish Small Vegetation Fire on Murrieta Boulevard

The small blaze happened Wednesday at about 3 p.m. and closed one lane of traffic on Murrieta Boulevard.

A small vegetation fire broke out on Murrieta Boulevard near Stanley Boulevard on Wednesday and was quickly extinguished by the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department.

Firefighters responded at 3 p.m. and the blaze involved a small area of landscape and a tall pine tree, said Battalion Chief Paul Legasa.

Four engines and one battalion chief responded to the fire and no injuries were reported.

During the incident, the Livermore Police Department provided traffic control for a southbound Murrieta Boulevard lane closure.
