Denny's Cafe Robbed at Gunpoint

Police searching for man who robbed restaurant Saturday evening.

are searching for a man who robbed the Denny's Cafe at gunpoint Saturday evening and took off with an undisclosed amount of cash, Sgt. Erin Cole said.

The robber entered the restaurant on Las Positas Road at 10:08 p.m., pointed a handgun at a cashier and demanded money, Cole said. He was last seen running toward North Livermore Avenue.

The restaurant was open at the time of the robbery with customers inside, Cole said. No one was injured.

The robber is described as a Hispanic or light-skinned black man, 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 3 inches tall. He was wearing dark clothing and had a bandanna covering the lower part of his face, Cole said.
