'Christmas Vacation' Burglary Suspects Convicted

Information from the Livermore Police Department--

On January 2, 2013, Alejandro Jaimes Murillo and Nestor Trevizo burglarized a residence on Pestana Way in Livermore while the family was away celebrating their Christmas holiday vacation.

The suspects forced entry into the garage where they proceeded to vandalize the inside of the home and steal over $14,000.00 in property.  The victim’s residence was equipped with a security camera and surveillance system which captured the suspects’ actions inside and outside of the home.

Investigating officers and detectives used the security footage to aid them in their investigation, and to eventually identify Alejandro Jaimes Murillo and Nestor Treviz as the suspects in this case.

On February 21, 2013, the Livermore Police Department Detectives and Officers served search warrants and Ramey [arrest] warrants at the suspects’ homes.

They located, and recovered, property that was stolen from the house, including a suspected stolen firearm, and a vehicle that had been stolen in Livermore in a separate incident.

Murillo was subsequently arrested for 459 California Penal Code – Burglary, 10851(a) California Vehicle Code – Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and 29800(a)(1) California Penal Code – Felon in possession of a firearm.

Trevizo was arrested for 459 California Penal Code – Burglary.  They were both booked into Santa Rita Jail.

On June 19, Murillo and Trevizo were both convicted of burglary in an Alameda County Superior Court.
