At 1:35 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a call from a resident in the 1900 block of Broadmoor Street, off Scenic Avenue, who reported that her home was being burglarized.

"The woman saw one subject in the house," Cole said. "She also heard other people in the house."

One of the teens was seen fleeing the house, whom the woman described to police.

Moments later, Sgt. John Hurd stopped a person who matched that description. The teen was seen waving to a passing vehicle, which later was stopped by officer Gary Custodia on Bluebell Drive at Sunflower Court.

Police determined that the occupants of the vehicle and the teen stopped by Hurd were connected to the burglary.

A watch was recovered from the suspects, Cole said.
