Car Fire Spreads to Vegetation on I-580

Traffic is not affected and several lanes are open, according to CHP.

A car fire spread to nearby vegetation on westbound Interstate
Highway 580 near Livermore this morning, according to the California Highway
Patrol.

A small compact car was reported on fire near Flynn Road North at about 4 a.m., according to the CHP.

The fire spread to nearby vegetation just off the freeway, according to the CHP.

Alameda County firefighters are working to detain the fire. The cause of the fire has not been determined and no injuries have been reported, according to the CHP.
