5 Arrested, 10 Vehicles Impounded in DUI Checkpoint

Police release results of Labor Day Weekend DUI/Drivers License checkpoint.

The conducted a . The checkpoint was held from 4:30 to 10 p.m. on westbound Concannon Boulevard, near Epson Street.

Here are the results:

  • A total of 1,010 vehicles were contacted at the checkpoint.
  • Officers administered 13 field sobriety tests to drivers who exhibited some sign of having consumed alcohol or who admitted to having consumed alcohol prior to driving. 
  • A total of five drivers were arrested for suspicion of DUI.
  • 10 drivers were found to be driving with either a suspended license or being unlicensed, and their vehicles were impounded. 
  • A total of 29 citations were issued to drivers.

The DUI checkpoint was conducted with funding from a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
