4th Street is NOT A STATE HIGHWAY

As a 7 year resident of 4th Street I have frequently called the LPD to inform them of speding offenders. I've already lost a car to a drunken speeder, and have had cars damaged by hit and run offenders. This is costly and unfair.

I am certain that the residents of fourth street would be grateful to see the speed limit ENFORCED. Perhaps the city can spare one of the flashing speed limit signs to alert the offenders! This tactic seems to work well on East Ave. Better yet, how about reducing the 4 lanes of traffic down to 2!?!?

Will a fatality need to happen before we can get drivers to respect the people who live on 4th street?

PLEASE, stop treating 4th street like it's a state highway! This is a residential area, populated by families with children and pets.
