Worship Celebration at Holy Cross

The worship of the God who raises the dead and gives l ife to all people is the most important expression of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.  Our worship is joyful and relevant.  All people, whether three years old or ninety-three, whether straight or LGBTQ, rich or poor, this color or that color, are welcome and are able to freely and fully participate in our worship life.

We don't use labels such as “contemporary,” “traditional,” or “blended.” The breadth and depth of our worship life encompasses all types of music that inspire, help us to celebrate, and leave us singing on Tuesday. We are true to our liturgical roots because our worship includes the participation and leadership of all. We are Lutheran in that we follow an age-old pattern of worship that comes in ways that are fresh and accessible to people today. And of course, our worship is bathed in the bedrock of what it means to be a Lutheran – God’s amazing, dumbfounding, and flabbergasting grace!

We know that we do not dare to come into the presence of God or feed at God’s table by our own merits or because we are good. We come because God is great beyond our understanding. We must remind ourselves of this every time we prepare to receive by declaring together the gifts of God are free!
