Well-Known Blogger and Oprah Guest to Appear at Pleasanton Library

Matt Logelin will be reading from Two Kisses for Maddy, his book about becoming a father and a widower in the span of 27 hours.

Matt Logelin, a well-known blogger who was featured in People Magazine and on the Oprah Winfrey Show, will be reading from his book, Two Kisses for Maddy, at the Pleasanton Library on Sunday.

Longelin's wife died just hours after giving birth to their daughter, Madeline, in 2008.

He will begin the reading at 2 p.m.

Matt and Liz Logelin were high school sweethearts, and they had it all: a perfect marriage, a gorgeous new home, and a baby girl on the way. Madeline, beautiful and healthy, was born on March 24, 2008.

Just twenty-seven hours later, Liz suffered a pulmonary embolism and died instantly. Matt did not surrender to devastation; he chose to keep moving forward — to make a life for Maddy.
