The Newly Renovated Purple Orchid Is Just What The Livermore Wine County Has Needed

The Livermore Valley wine country is truly a beautiful place.

I was taking a little jog yesterday on what I like to call the Vineyard Loop and it was great to see all of the buds sprouting from the grape vines signaling the start of another growing season. Soon the rolling hills of Livermore will be lined with a sprawling green canopy of vines.

The Livermore wine community has definitely grown in the past decade and it now boasts more than 50 wineries. The one thing the valley has been missing is a beautiful place for wine lovers to stay.

It is true that Livermore has the typical Hawthorne Suites or Best Western Inn types of accomodations, but we have been missing a premier establishment that provides a resort feel in the heart of wine country.

The newly remodeled Purple Orchid Inn has been a part of the Livermore Valley for some time, but recently it has come under new ownership.  After some extensive renovations, the Purple Orchid Inn is now the premier Inn in Livermore.

The 21-acre private estate is located in the heart of the wine country just off Tesla Road and will provide Livermore Valley wine lovers with an experience to remember. The Purple Orichid day spa and beautiful grounds provide the perfect way to relax. Their beautifully decorated rooms provide the comfort every wine lover deserves during a weekend visit for wine tasting in the Livermore Valley.

I was excited to see that the Purple Orchid Inn was joining together with one of my favorite wineries, Nottingham Cellars, for a winemakers dinner.  What a great opportunity to drink fantastic wine while enjoying the beauty and comfort of the Purple Orchid Inn.

If you haven't had the opportunity to a least walk the grounds of the Purple Orchid Inn you are missing out.  Take a picnic lunch and experience the beauty and comfort of Livermore.
