This Food Day event will celebrate the unique partnership between Asbury, Open Heart Kitchen, the Garden of Grace and Alameda County Master Gardeners. The Open Heart Kitchen and the Garden of Grace partner to grow, prepare and serve healthy food to Livermore's hungry.
The celebration on Oct. 25 will include a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the new Garden expansion, presentation of a City Council proclamation on Food Day, welcome remarks by City Council member Jeff Williams, Garden co-founder Bruce Campbell, Open Heart Kitchen Operations Director Jody Michalik and Asbury Pastor Chuck Johnstone. The ceremony will conclude with Garden tours and lunch at the Open Heart Kitchen.
