Memorial to be Held for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Retiree

James Sherman Desper died at home on Nov.1

Beloved husband, father, papa, son, brother, uncle and friend, James Sherman Desper, 64, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer just 3 months after diagnosis and died at home with his family by his side on Friday, Nov. 01, 2013, in Livermore, CA. He retired 5 years earlier in 2008 after 33 years of service at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. 

He was survived by his wife of 32 years, Cheryl Desper, four daughters; Athena Wilder, April Beam, Alexis Broxterman, Alicia Desper and nine grandchildren, Alexandria, Harleigh, Katherine, Aiden, Analynn, Drew, Kade Jr., Chloe and Violet.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at 3265 Laughlin Rd., Livermore.
