Supporters of the Chesterman family will be hosting a candle light ceremony in Livermore tonight.

Kristina Chesterman, 20, was hit by a drunk driver on Sunday, Sept. 22 while riding her bicycle back to the California State University Chico campus.

She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and according to her mother, Sandra Chesterman, is still there.

The candle light ceremony is being coordinated by Chesterman's cheer team out of Granada High School: Ashley Holland, Taylor West and Paige Babbitt.

"They want her family to know her cheer team will always be rooting for her!" says Samantha Billings.

The ceremony takes place at 7:00 p.m. at 1676 Sorrento Place. Attendees are encouraged to bring candles and wear pink. The Chesterman family is also asking for those attending to bring photos they may have of Kristina and messages for the 20-year-old. The family will bring these back to her hospital room.

"We will also have a donation basket if anyone would care to make donations to the family, if you can not make it to the candle lighting and would still like to donate please let Paige Babbitt, Samantha Billings, or Taylor West know," Billings says on the Facebook event page.
