Hurricane Band Helping to feed the needy and homless in the Tri-valley

Please
come join the Hurricane Band in supporting this worthy
and wonderful cause of helping to feed the needy and homeless in the
Tri-valley! The Hurricane will be donating their time to this worthy cause.

The Hurricane has a very
special upcoming charitable event.  The Hurricane has
been asked to play at a fundraiser for Fertile Groundworks.  And, I’d like to tell you a bit about this wonderful
grass-roots organization, what it does, and invite you to join us at the
fundraiser. The Hurricane will
be donating it’s time to play at this special event and we hope that you’ll
join us and donate generously to this worthy cause.

A
few years ago, the acreage behind the Asbury Methodist Church in Livermore was donated and was
turned into a very small farm, designed to grow food for the hungry.
That’s become the Garden of Grace, and that vision has turned into a successful operation that has
organically grown and distributed over 10,000 pounds of produce in 2012!

Fertile GroundWorks operates the Garden Of Grace, and works with local
soup kitchens and food pantries to provide a continuous stream of produce to
help feed the hungry in the Tri-Valley region.

As
with all worthy causes, Fertile Groundworks exists in part as a result
of our community efforts to raise funds for this worthy cause.  They’ve
planned a wonderful event where ticket sales will provide a substantial
boost.  They
are expecting (hoping for) 200 Attendees @ $75 per person ($60 of which is tax
deductible).  This would provide some significant funding for these fine
charities.
