Power Outage in Livermore Leaves Thousands Without Power

PG&E has confirmed that the source of Oct. 20's power outage was underground equipment failure.

According to PG&E's website, a  has left hundreds without power Sunday.

The outage was first reported at 7:42 p.m. Approximately 3,364 PG&E customers have been left without power in Livermore.

"It is currently under investigation so there is no estimate for restoration time," PG&E Spokesman JD Guidi said.

Livermore Patch Facebook readers first reached out to Patch about the outage. According to readers, the outage has affected residents in South Livermore, near Concannon Blvd. and Arroyo.

"Just got an automated call from PG&E and they are aware of the problem and are sending crews now. They don't know why it's out." said Crissy Dunn.
