Livermore Chihuahua Lost Over the Weekend

Gus got out of his home on Nightingale Street Saturday.

One of Livermore's four-legged residents and his pet parent need the community's help.

Five-year-old Gus, a 7-pound tan-and-white Chihuahua got out of his backyard Oct. 19 while his owners were out of town.

"In the past when he has gotten out during the day, he normally would sit on the front porch and wait for us to get home," Sharon Brook says.

Brook lives on Nightingale Street and has been up and down most of her neighborhood streets calling out to the little dog. Gus is primarily an inside dog.

"I am so sad to think that he has been wandering around for the past 48 hours without food or our love and attention," Brook says. "I hope and pray that someone has seen him, or picked him up and are taking care of him."

Brook would like anyone with any information pertaining to Gus, good or bad, to giver her a call.

"I am lost without him and am sickened that I can't find him," she says. "He is my life and I really want him back home with me."

If you have seen Gus, please call his pet owner Sharon Brook at 925-784-3881.
