Are You Ready to Cowboy (or Cowgirl) Up?

The 95th Annual Livermore Rodeo Kicks-off next Wednesday.

Written by Beatrice Karnes

Bull riding, calf roping, and even wild cow milking are coming to Livermore as the 95th Annual Livermore Rodeo gets underway Wednesday, June 5 with the annual Rodeo Mixer.

Livermore’s ranching heritage will be on full display as events unfold, culminating with the Rodeo on the 8th and 9th.

Everything that pops into your head when you think of a rodeo will be featured including bareback riding, tie down roping, local and PRCA team roping, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing and more.

The Livermore Rodeo began as a fundraiser for the American Red Cross in 1918, to support the charity’s efforts in World War I. It was such a smashing success that the rodeo’s been held every year since.

Thursday is family night—admission is just $1. You can purchase tickets for all events online.

The rodeo is located at 3000 Robertson Park Road.
