Twin Valley Learning Center

This nonprofit tutoring center in the Sunset Office Plaza complex offers one-on-one instruction in general studyMore skills and in several subjects, including reading, math, writing, Spanish, French, and English as a second language. Subsidized help, at up to 50 percent off, is offered to clients from low-income families, thanks to generous benefactors including Dreyer's Ice Cream, the Hindu Community and Cultural Center and the Lawrence Livermore Lab's National Security HOME Campaign.</p> <p>Twin Valley also offers free tutoring twice a week to kids in Tri-Valley homeless shelters and domestic violence shelters. Fee-for-service clients range from adults with special needs to high schoolers seeking to improve their college prospects. Twin Valley is in Building J (second from the west and second from the south) of this large office plaza, which is below street level on Concannon at Holmes Avenue. Access is from either street.</p>
