The ACA is unsustainable so it will die. The only question is how long and how much pain will beRead More inflicted before that death. The Euro is a great case study on the lengths politicans will go to prop up an unsustainable political experiment. The EU is inflicting great pain and damage to protect their collective egos, and job security, that is tied to the Euro. And the Dems will behave similarly re O'GolferCare.

Employer costs have been increasing every year anyway. It's called escalation, and anyone whoRead More sources insurance for their own company is aware of it. I think most people conflate "what was happening anyway" with "effects of Obamacare," but there is enough information on the internet about trends prior to 2009 to detail the original insurance problem. .....Personally, Obamacare is helping my business by opening up the insurance marketplace. In FY2008, I insured 3 employees (1 family, 2 single) through BCBS for about $3700/month. Escalation was quoted at 19% for FY2009 - an increase of $700/month. We hired an HR firm (or PEO) to access a group rates and paid 5-7% escalation 2009-2014. In preparation for FY2015, new insurance options have enabled us to drop the PEO altogether and choose a small-biz plan for a smaller monthly premium than our 2010 group rates. This is a tremendous benefit because it opens up options with fringe and retirement contributions to my employees. Deductibles and network coverage are too similar to impact any participants. Outside of my own experience, most people that I know who deal with insurance budgeting for their companies or families have reversed their opinion on Obamacare - once they had to put their money where their mouth is.

Cops don't just arrest anybody accused of this crime, there will be more info. There always is.Read More However, Cabernet is a wonderful establishment!

I have known Jesse and his family for around 10 years. He has always been a great friend to me, andRead More I honestly cannot imagine him doing something of this nature. While pedophilia is a horrifying act that should be dealt with seriously, everybody reading this post would do well to remember that this remains an accusation and has yet to be attested. It saddens me that in this age of trending, hash-tagging, and sensationalism, knee-jerk reactionary opinions tend to prevail. I have worked with children as a tutor, teacher, coach, and counselor for over 6 years, and am currently in my 3rd year as a youth martial arts instructor. I have experienced first-hand how some parents, out of concern for their children's safety and well-being, can misinterpret and blow things out of proportion. Our generally sympathetic and family-oriented culture often causes people to immediately side with the purported victim without waiting for the facts to arise. April was apt to point out the Jewell case - one of many wherein the accused was innocent and yet, even after acquittal, struggled to return to their normal life due to the power of the rumor mill. I exhort all of you to exercise your capacity for objectivity in this and all other extremely sensitive situations, as the outcomes are completely life-altering for those involved well after the hype dies down. My thoughts are with Jesse and I will believe that he is innocent until cogent and comprehensive evidence can convince me otherwise. Oh and Terry, your suggestion for chemical castration and the revival of public hangings gives a pretty clear indication of your moral compass. It seems like you're mostly upset about the rising price of cable, and the misery of dealing with Comcast (I think we can all empathize). I think watching less TV and getting out a little more might be good for you! :)
Not the Cat July 25, 2014 at 11:04 am
I have been trolling/contributing to the Patch for some time now and have never seen such supportRead More for someone accused of this type of act. Short story: when I was in college I first wanted to be a teacher. Until my first semester when the professor told us stories and made us read the articles about how teachers/male teachers are often at the receiving end of a made up tales by children. Now I'm not saying this guy is innocent, however, if you read up on endless accounts of wrongly accused teachers and the dramatic effect on their lives, even after being found innocent, is breathtaking. (I know there is that trash out there like the golf teacher and they deserve what is coming to them)....... Needless to say I changed quickly changed my major to engineering (you can't be wrongly accused of fondling a piece of machinery).

The reason for the e coli is all the duck droppings on S Beach. I was swimming 2 miles regularlyRead More with my triathlon group. We watched how the ptown workers clean up the poop. When your opinion is moronic, people will comment Ashley. There is no justification,Read More rationalization or excuse for putting a child's life in danger to gamble. She is disgusting and I hope she gets the book thrown at her.

But if Robert wont call the mother disgusting, I will be happy to do so. She is disgusting looking.

I'm impressed. People can still willingly admit to waving their fanatic flag of either AmericanRead More political party? Unbelievable. Never mind that representatives and lawmakers of both parties are equally and miserably corrupt, on the take and incompetent. That doesn't seem to matter apparently. Both parties stink and need to be flushed, along with their yelling adherents, down the sewer. We'd all be better off for it. Personally I don't trust one goddamned thing that American politicians or their operatives say. Neither should you.
