Sycamore Grove/Veterans Park is a public park and outdoor recreation spot used by residents of Livermore. The entire park is composed of 774 acres of grasslands and woodlands and home to interesting wildlife like deer, frogs, ducks, birds, magpies and meadowlarks. <a href="http://www.larpd.dst.ca.us/open_space/documents/sycamore_map.pdf">Trails</a> wind through the park that are great for hiking, bicycling and horseback riding. The park has picnic tables, restrooms and barbecues and allows pets as long as they are leashed. It is open daily except when there are hazardous conditions in the park due to weather.
