The Livermore Public Library Civic Center opened in 2004 and is managed by Susan Gallinger. The 53,000 square-foot library is divided into areas for kids and teens, a reading room, children and adult computer areas, study rooms, reference areas and a copy center.
In addition, the library features a job center, board room, two community rooms, a bookstore and café.
Programs at the library include a book club, story time for children, and computer classes.
The staff can also answer questions online through instant messaging featured on the library's website.
