Livermore Area Recreation and Park District

<p>The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District was created in 1947. It oversees 29 neighborhood parks, two community parks, soccer and ball fields, four regional parks and 10 special-use parks.</p> <p>The district also provides preschool and child care to youth in kindergarten through eighth grade at all the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District's elementary and middle schools.</p> <p>Other services include teen programs, fee classes, youth and adult sports, aquatics, environmental education, special events and senior services.</p> <p>The district is governed by an elected, five-person Board of Directors.</p>
