Granada High School is one of two comprehensive high schools in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District. It first opened its doors to students in 1963. Opening enrollment this year was more than 2,400 students, an increase of more than 500 students since 2003.

Enrollment is not the only thing growing on campus as test scores also continue to rise. Granada has seen its API score increase by 124 points over the past five years. Officials said the increase in test scores is one of the highest in the state over that time span. It is one of 12 schools in the district to have an API score of 800 or more.

Chris VanSchaack is the school's principal.

Source: Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District
