Valley Community Church Camp Connects Kids to God Through Sports

160 local youths spent the weekend at a baseball/softball STRETCH camp — "Striving to Reach Excellence Through Christ's Hand"

About 160 Tri-Valley boys and girls of all ages participated in a physically and spiritually intensive winter sports camp offered by Valley Community Church in partnership with Amador Valley High School.

Softball and baseball players convened at the church Friday afternoon through Sunday, working out and learning leadership skills with STRETCH, in its 8th year.

The weekend kicked off with equipment donations to help kids in the Dominican Republic and TLC for Kids Sports, a non-profit that aims to make Bay Area fields safer and more accessible for the physically challenged.
