Japan Wins Little League World Series Championship

The games wrapped up on Monday with a 10-1 win for the Asia-Pacific region.

The Little League World Series closed with a smoking 10-1 win as Japan dominated Pennsylvania. The Izumisano Little League team played Chartiers Valley Little League in the final game on Monday at 4:00 p.m.

Almost 30,000 people visited Livermore for the seven day inaugural Intermediate Little League World Series, which ran from July 30 through Aug. 5. Ten teams from around the world competed in 20 games at the Max Baer Park in Livermore.

Pleasanton National Little League represented Tri-Valley and all of the Bay Area in the two games played during the series. Read about their "perfect game" played on July 31.
