Livermore gets steamrolled by De La Salle, Granada and Foothill lose close contests

Here are some of the scores from the Friday night high school football games in the region.

De La Salle 62  Livermore 0

De La Salle High roared back to its winning ways by crushing Livermore High, 62-0, on the Cowboys home field Friday night.

The Spartans raised their record to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the EBAL. They had lost last weekend to St. Thomas Aquinas in Florida, 30-6.

Livermore suffered its first loss of the season. They are now 3-1 overall and 0-1 in the EBAL.

Monte Vista 35  Granada 34

Monte Vista High evened its record on the season with a razor-thin 35-34 victory over Granada High.

Monte Vista led 14-7 at the half and 28-21 in the third quarter before hanging on for the victory.

The Mustangs are now 2-2 on the season and 1-0 in the EBAL.

The Matadors fall to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the EBAL.

California 22  Foothill 17

California High stretched its unbeaten record with a narrow victory over Foothill High, 22-17.

The win gives Cal High a 4-0 record on the year and a 1-0 mark in the East Bay Athletic League.

Foothill falls to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the EBAL.

San Ramon Valley 51  Amador Valley 10

San Ramon Valley High opened its EBAL season by cruising past Amador Valley High, 51-10.

The Wolves are now 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in league play.

The Dons fall to 2-2 and 0-1 in the EBAL.

Campolindo 38  Dougherty Valley 21

Dougherty Valley High came up short in its bid to win its fourth game of the season.

The Wildcats were defeated by Campolindo High, 38-21, in Moraga.

The game was tied 7-7 at the half, but Campolindo edged ahead 21-14 in the third quarter before putting the game away in the final quarter.

Dougherty Valley is now 3-2 on the season. The Wildcats are also 0-1 in Diablo Football Athletic League action.

The Cougars are now 5-0 for the year and 1-0 in the DFAL.

Dublin High had a bye this week.
