High School Football Recap

Here are the scores from the high school football games in the region tonight.

Dublin 32 Acalanes 29

Dublin High School took an early lead then hung on to defeat Acalanes High, 32-29.

The Gaels jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and were ahead 25-7 at halftime. However, Acalanes cut the margin to 25-22 in the third quarter before Dublin secured the win.

Dublin is now 5-3 overall and 2-2 in league play.

Acalanes is 4-5 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Granada 26  California 22 

Granada High scored a touchdown with 28 seconds left in the game to upset California High, 26-22.

Granada held a 19-7 lead at halftime, but California rallied to take a 22-19 lead in the fourth quarter before the Matadors scored their last-minute touchdown.

Granada had lost four in a row coming into the game, although three of those defeats were close games. They are now 3-5 overall and 1-4 in league play.

California falls to 6-2 and 3-2 in league play.

Monte Vista 27  Amador Valley 0

Monte Vista High scored early and often to defeat Amador Valley High, 27-0.

Monte Vista took a 21-0 lead into the locker room at halftime. They lengthened their margin to 27-0 in the third quarter.

The Mustangs are now 4-4 overall and 3-2 in league play.

The Dons fall to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Foothill 14 Livermore 13 

Foothill High came from behind to defeat Livermore High, 14-13.

Livermore held a 7-0 lead at half and were ahead 13-7 in the third quarter.

However, the Falcons shut the Cowboys down the rest of the way to eke out the victory.

Foothill is now 3-5 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Livermore is 3-5 overall and 0-5 in league play.
