POWER NOW: A Free Day of Self Defense

The Amador Valley High School P.E. classes have decided to contribute to the task of helping women learn self-defense.  You probably already know of the many victims of sexual assault; however, you may not know that 79 women are sexually assaulted or almost assaulted every hour. Our goal is to lower that number by teaching women self-defense.

In similar projects around the Bay Area, they have found much success. For example, IMPACT Bay Area has been teaching more than 12,000 females how to defend themselves against verbal, physical, and sexual assaults since 1985. At the event, Tri-Valley P.O.W.E.R. NOW, which stands for Protection Of Women Every Where Right NOW, we hope to provide the same. We would appreciate any help that you may give.

We will hold a comprehensive self-defense clinic on March 26th, 2011. At this event our goal is to impart valuable self-defense information and techniques to the Tri Valley community at large. We have trained professionals donating their time to help train our community members to be safe and get themselves out of harms way.  All ages and genders are welcome to attend any of our training sessions and workshops.
