Snow Takes Livermore Students by Storm

Students donned mittens, caps and coats and had fun playing in the powder

Snow? In Livermore?  Despite the spring weather and lack of rain, students at the Rancho Las Positas Elementary School in Livermore enjoyed a snow day on Jan. 24.

According to the school district, parent volunteers brought the snow from Tri-Valley Ice for the 24 students to enjoy.

"Dressed in snowsuits with hats, mittens and boots, 26 enthusiastic students experienced a fun, out-of-the-ordinary little bit of winter right here in Livermore. TK Teacher, Mrs. Pastrnak, along with her Aide, Mrs. Brackett, oversaw the fun with drifts of "snow."
