Parent Club Information Council to Hold Candidate Forum

PCIC will hold a school board candidate forum on Tuesday, Oct. 9.

Here's information provided by the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District's Parent Club Information Council:

The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School Board of Trustees has two seats open for the November 6, 2012 General Election. Four residents have filed papers to run for two vacant seats on the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) Board of Education. Incumbents Belia Martinez and Chuck Rogge are being challenged by David Jonas and Tom McLaughlin. Each elected Trustee will serve a full four-year term.

The District’s Parent Club Information Council (PCIC) will hold a Candidate Forum on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 6:30 P.M. in the Board Room located at 685 E. Jack London Blvd., Livermore, CA 94551. PCIC is a group of parent leaders representing each of the District’s school sites. The group acts as a parent network to advocate for and communicate between parents, schools, the District, and the community regarding the education and welfare of the children of "our" community with its motto being "It Takes The Whole Village To Raise The Child."
