Livermore Valley Charter High School Looking for New Principal

Principal Lauren Kelly has taken a family leave of absence and is not expected to return.

Livermore Valley Charter Preparatory High School principal Lauren Kelly recently took a family leave of absence and school officials don't believe she will return, Tri-Valley Learning Corporation CEO Bill Batchelor said.

A search committee for a new prinicipal is being formed to look for a perminent replacement for Kelly.

Nick Boden is currently running the school as the interim principal.

Kelly came to Livermore Valley Charter Preparatory in January 2011, after being the vice principal at Harvest Park Middle School and before that at Amador Valley High School. She was named the regional 2004 co-administrator of the year by the Association of California School Administrators.

The charter school is run by the Tri-Valley Learning Corporation, which opened a high-school program in 2010 and also runs a kindergarten school in Livermore.
