Livermore High School: 'No Weapon on Campus'

*Update: Friday, Sept. 13, 9:55 a.m.

The Livermore Valley Joint Union School District sent out a message that said the "Shelter in Place" had been lifted.

"I have just confirmed with Livermore Police that the report of a weapon on campus was not credible. There was no weapon on campus. All students and staff at Livermore High School are safe. ... We are very sorry for any anxiety caused by the initial phone call, however we always err on the side of extreme caution and safety protocols and in keeping our community informed."

Livermore Patch
is receiving word from several local residents and parents that Livermore High School left messages or calls that the campus was placed on lockdown this morning due to a possible gun on campus.

Livermore High School has confirmed that the school is in 'Shelter in Place' and that administration conducted an investigation this morning but Patch is still waiting to hear details as to what they were investigating.

Patch will be following up on this story as it develops.
