Las Positas College Foundation to Present "Best of the Best" Fundraiser

The Las Positas College Foundation will present its ninth annual fundraising gala, The Best of the Best, beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, in the Barbara Fracisco Mertes Center for the Arts. The black tie affair will offer guests the “best of the best” in performing arts, gourmet food and fine local wine.

“Guests enjoy a lovely evening while supporting the students, staff, faculty and greater community that Las Positas College serves,” said Las Positas College Foundation CEO Ted Kaye, Ph.D.  “In the current economic environment of reduced state funding of higher education, this support is critically important to maintaining the college’s stellar reputation of a high transfer rate to four-year institutions and quality vocational/technical training,” he said.

Kaye noted that, during the evening, local civic leaders who are among the best of the best in their communities will be honored. This year’s honorees are:
