Free College Workshops for Teens

Teens are invited to attend two free college workshops:

The first workshop, Accepted: Getting Into Your First Choice School, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., is designed to show students and parents what college admissions officers expect from applicants’ high school experiences. Topics covered include a variety of admissions policies and the key factors used by admissions officers when making admissions decisions.

The next workshop, College Application Essay Workshop from 7:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., is designed to show students and parents what college admissions officers want to see in an essay. The workshop will examine the types of topics students will encounter, cover the four steps to writing a winning essay and critique a sample admissions essay.

Parents are invited to attend both workshops.
