Volunteers Needed to Help 'Beautify' Livermore School Campuses

Volunteers are needed on April 27 at several schools throughout Livermore.

From the City of Livermore:

The community of Livermore has the opportunity to participate in JustServe the Livermore Schools, a morning to volunteer at several school sites on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Lunch will be provided afterward at 1501 Hillcrest Avenue, Livermore. Many activities are planned to beautify the campuses.

School sites will include:

Del Valle High School
East Avenue Middle School
Croce Elementary School
Vineyard K-12 Alternative School

Livermore High School & farm
Junction K-8 School
Rancho Elementary School
Granada High School

The City of Livermore, in collaboration with the has introduced the Livermore Community Service Council to significantly expand and broaden the spirit of community volunteerism. The Council will provide the leadership and organization to help serve the community in a powerful way, with only one objective: community service. The
Council was born out of the need to connect willing volunteers with organizations in need of volunteer service.

To that end, the Council identifies and plans projects; works to increase volunteer participation; evaluates past projects; recruits organizations and private individuals; and provides communication to participating organizations and the community.
