Nomination Period for Alameda County Candidates Starts Today

The filing period goes from Monday to Friday Aug. 10.

If you're interested in running for any public office in Alameda County, today marks the start of the filing period.

Prospective candidates have until Aug. 10 to file their candidate papers with the county to be on the ballot in November.

To file your papers to be a candidate, you can setup an appointment with the Alameda County Registrar of Voters on their website.

In Livermore, the school district has two board seats up for election. There are also three seats up for election on the park district's board of directors.
