A new Mitchell Katz Winery tasting room is planned for south Livermore, according to a report by the Contra Costa Times.

The tasting room and retail space will be housed in a 10,000-square-foot building at the northwest corner of Hansen and Arroyo roads in south Livermore.

Residents at a recent council meeting voiced concerns over increased traffic the project would bring to the neighborhood.

Further details in the report by Bay Area News Group Reporter Jeremy Thomas:

About 10 residents, many from the Los Olivos neighborhood, addressed the council, asking members to make a change to the South Livermore Specific Plan and to require the developer to relocate the driveway to Arroyo Road. Residents expressed concerns about impaired drivers leaving the tasting room and traveling down the narrow, winding Hansen Road.

Kevin and Chris are good guys. They genuinely want to give back and care about introducing as manyRead More kids (young and old) as possible to the incredibly rewarding world of music. I am fortunate enough to have had somebody similar to these guys motivate me to get involved in music when I was a kid. 31 years later, I am still beatin’ on my drums every day. Great job Kev and Chris. Keep it up!
