Livermore Sanitation Rates May Increase

City Council to hold public hearing on proposed rate increases for Livermore Sanitation.

Heads up. Trash pickup soon may cost you more.

The City Council on Monday will hold a public hearing Monday on increasing  rates to help offset budget shortfalls the waste management company has experienced the past two years.

Livermore Sanitation is proposing a 19 percent fee increase for 20- and 32-gallon container residential customers and a 14 percent increase for all other customers, according to city staff reports.

If the council approves the proposed rates, Livermore residents would pay $13.76 for a 20-gallon container and $22.96 for a 30- to 36-gallon container.

If approved, the new rates would take effect July 1.

Monday's council meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the , 3575 Pacific Ave.

Rafael and his crew do great work, and not just lawn service. He replaced our sprinkler system andRead More sodded two new lawns when we moved into our house. He and his crew have trimmed trees, planted flowers, and even built a new fence and gate. All at a fair price. I can't recommend his services enough.

Kevin and Chris are good guys. They genuinely want to give back and care about introducing as manyRead More kids (young and old) as possible to the incredibly rewarding world of music. I am fortunate enough to have had somebody similar to these guys motivate me to get involved in music when I was a kid. 31 years later, I am still beatin’ on my drums every day. Great job Kev and Chris. Keep it up!
