"I Voted" Sticker Selling for $200

A Craigslist ad shows the popular "I Voted" Election Day sticker can be had for $200.

A Craigslist ad shows the popular "I Voted" sticker voters receive when submitting their ballots on Election Day can be had for $200.

Yep. Two hundred dollars.

The sticker is very popular on Election Day as many people post pictures of the sticker on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as proof that they voted.

The Craigstlist ad based in Oakland says:

DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO VOTE AND FEEL LEFT OUT? NO WORRIES I'M SELLING THIS ONE OF A KIND "I VOTED STICKER" NOW YOU TOO CAN POST PICTURES ON INSTAGRAM/FACEBOOK/TWITTER LETTING EVERYONE KNOW YOU ALSO VOTED

A search on ebay shows a listing selling the sticker for 99 cents. No bids as of 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Did you go out and vote today and receive an "I Voted" sticker? If you took a photo of the sticker please share your pictures with other Patch readers here.

And no. I'm not offering $200 for any photos.

This is dumb. Who would buy these stickers and for what reason? They arent' really proof that one actually voted. For that, I would be requesting the stub one has to tear off the ballot as proof, not the sticker. Perhaps there's too many suckers out there.
