City of Livermore - Community Shred & E-Waste Collection Event

 

The City of Livermore is celebrating "Earth Day" with a Community Shred & E-Waste Collection Event for Livermore Residents!

Livermore residents may have up to 3 banker boxes (10"x12"x24") worth of material shredded on site FREE!  Shred-It, a certified document destruction company accepts the following:

  • White and colored paper (clips and staples are OK)
  • File folders
  • Window envelopes
  • Personal information
  • Old tax documents
  • All paper is recycled

 

Livermore residents can also drop off their electronic waste!  E-Waste Livermore, a CA approved collector, will be on site for FREE collection of:

  • Computers, TVs, video game systems, stereos, printers, scanners, copiers, phones/cell phones, VCRs/tapes, digital cameras, cables/cords, chargers, etc.
  • One (1) vacuum cleaner or microwave oven per household accepted.
  • Toner cartridges and used car batteries also accepted.
  • For a small cash-only fee, most household appliances (i.e.: washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, water heaters, A/C units, etc.) accepted.
  • As a general rule, "If it plugs in, we take it!"
  • All items collected are properly recycled in the USA.
  • Sorry!  Household batteries and CFL light bulbs NOT accepted.
